Nice and quiet spot next to the river. Frequented by locals in the afternoon, but nobody at night. Water of the river is little salty like the rest of the village. Possibilty of swimming and making fire. Good claro signal.
Coming from the north, take the road on the left behind the police station, then the second road on the left. Continue straight for 700 m and take the dirt road on the left. Go to the river! (around 800m).

Fomos embora.
Report Check-InNice and calm place, just 1-2 cars passed by, but no loud music. If you stay at the chimneys there is some wind protection through the surrounding hills (our popup had no problems). Unfortunately lots of rubbish and glass splitters around so take care of your children and/or dogs etc.
Report Check-Inone of the best camping spots i had in south america, really cool!
before the bridge i cycled on the path along the river (upstream), there are a few nice spots for a tent and entries into the river... many locals (swimming, barbecueing,...), so i chose the first spot right next to the tree on the left, flat and good ground... could wash myself and my clothes in the river
this place is such a relief in this heat!
Report Check-InThere is one spot if you are trying to reach the river where 4x4 would be nice. We checked out the river which was muddy in this season. Parked by a tree in between the abandoned chimneys/ovens. Very quiet night. Nobody driving through this area. Nobody in the morning. Left at 10am. I imagine this area feels like an actual oven mid day. Great place to overnight though. Chimneys are fun to explore. The police at the checkpoint on the main road welcomed us to stay there, saying it was, of course, safe to camp. Nearby town is depressed and the grocery store there has your basic foods, but not much more.
Report Check-InVery nice spot. Bit of a rock step to get to the river. Very windy because the shape of the valley. No sun in the morning. Very quiet. Good 4G
Report Check-InNice and quiet place. We didn't go down on the river, seems like a bad idea to camp in a riverbed. So we stayed near the old ovens 200 meter before the bridge.
