Nice campground with showers, spots are big. Some have water hookups for $27 or $17 if you have a National park pass. Close to a boat launch and some small hikes.

Report Check-InAs described. Several of the potable water sprigots were covered with plastic bags indicating that they should not be used. Facilities looking a little dated. OK for an overnight stop but unattractive for a longer stay.

Stopped here to reset and have hot showers after spending 2 nights on Cape Lookout. We rented kayaks in nearby Swansboro to explore the waters.
