UPDATE June 2022: A 'NO CAMPING' sign has been added today. Camping is not allowed anymore. Unfortunately.
.....
Parking lot for the galloping goose trail, no signs against overnight parking when I was there, though most of the other parking lots in the area have them. Some other cars and hikers around, pit toilets and a picnic bench
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Didn’t see a sign « no overnight parking » so we slept one night here and nobody was coming.
Just bikers and hikers in the morning.
Good spot for a sleep and a morning walk.
Just as the other reviews warned this space is closed for overnight camping (we decided to stay anyways) An expected bang on the window came at 8:30am from a very lovely park ranger who confirmed the fact that overnight camping is no longer allowed. We did not get a ticket but certainly could have!
Report Check-Inwe were a few vans sleeping here. very nice parking lot at the edge of the forest with no noise at night. we made no noise, we left no trash behind us and no one was disturbed by our presence. in the morning a weird gentleman came yelling in the parking lot saying we had no business here and needed to go to a campsite. he was very angry and slammed his car door to wake us all up! around noon, an employee of the municipality came to put up a sign prohibiting camping in this parking lot as we were leaving (see picture!). unfortunately, it is therefore no longer possible to sleep here since today! it's really annoying and disappointing because this spot was very convenient and the vans didn't bother anyone here!
Report Check-InA 8:30, nous avons eu droit à une annonce d’un résident très fâché qui a crié que nous ne sommes pas les bienvenues, d’aller au camping, qu’ils paient des taxes pour ce parking et pas nous.
Report Check-Invery good place to stay overnight, quiet at night. 4 other campers with us. cross the street to walk to a view point, good place for a sundowner.
