Since November 2021 the road between El Chaco (18km northeast of Baeza) and Lumbaqui (50km west of Lago Agrio) is completely blocked due to landslides and major roadworks. Locals say in Feb 2022 it will take many months more. The southern route to Lago Agrio from Narupa is open and fully tarmaced but watch out for some potholes just after Narupa.
We don't have any photos of this place yet.

Road still very closed! Didn’t see the sign so went to the end only to have to come back… huge landslide, won’t be fixed anytime soon! Spoke to the locals who told me the government isn’t working on it so, yeah… could be a year or 2!!!!
