Description

Continue down dirt road past SF Hot springs trailhead. Most of the road is pretty easy but there are parts where you need higher clearance (2wd ok). 4-5 decent spots with fire rings along the way. This spot is at the very end of the dirt road a little over a mile past the trailhead parking lot. There's a turnaround with two fire rings alongside it and a third spot for a tent. Great 360' views. No shade, very quiet (besides crickets), unique quartz pieces all over ground. You can hike down the dried creek about a half mile til you reach a cliff with a cool view of the river (no trail but not too bad).

Not much here. You cannot see the river from camp. There are nice views down into the valley you just came through, but no shade, no water, and no established area to camp. Did not find any fire rings. Just a cul-de-sac at the end of the road. Not recommended unless you were looking for a quiet Place away from everything with good views

We camped here, needed our 4x4 and clearance of sprinter to get here. Amazing views and great camp at end of road (few on way there as well).

Big horn sheep keeping an eye on us and our dogs.

The rain started at 5am, when we got up we decide our best interest to get out before it go worsen
Great plan.

We had to infill the two bad wash out crossings with rocks to get through. Not having proper mud tires meant we also slid some once it got muddy. Exciting departure for us.

Hiked to hot springs after, posted update there as well. Trailhead listing.
