The campsite has the best view over Lake Albert where you see thousands of fisher boat lights at night. Breathtaking. Camping site with amazing views.

Latest Check-Ins

The real magic is at night when a whole city of fishermen switch on their lights. we camped but had a great meal and the pool is great. Camping ablutions are still a work in progress.

Report Check-In

We used their campsite with view over the lake Albert. It is really stunning, especially at night with all the lit fisher boats out there. Camping 15 USD, 2 cold showers and 1 european style toilet, more to come. Good restaurant, diner 15 USD, breakfast 8 USD.

We loved our stay at Kikonko. Negotiated a fair price for camping $10pppd. The ablutions are not complete but there is one unit to use. Cold water on a hot day not too bad! Restaurant three course meal was good $15pp. The campsite does need upgrading eg dust bin, tap, scullery area and fire pit for self catering. I do think the idea is that all guests take meals in the rest. We prefer self catering. 4/5 we loved our extra day. Cycling and lazing at the pool. Views to die for.

A lodge that allows camping. The top campsite has a good view over the lake but the ablutions are basic. You can pitch a tent closer to the lodge and use the lodge toilet and pool shower. Only space for own cooking would be the top campsite. The restaurant is good, but I would not give as many stars to the chef as a previous review.

Nice newish modern lodge. I stayed in special view campsite behind swimming pool. I used loo in main lodge and tgey opened a room for me to shower. Alternative was cold shower by pool.
Campsite has no facilities so no fire option. View is lovely but hazy do not spectacular. Lounge and var was nice. Didn't eat from restaurant.
Staff, especially Rachel, was excellent.
I paid $15 for the night as a single camper.

Amazing place. We paid 10 dollar/person for camping. Dog friendly

We stayed at the "SuperView" Campsite. Ablutions are still under construction, we could use the bathroom of s bungalow. Nice pool and restaurant. We had a great dinner there, very delicious 😋. Could negotiate $10,-pp for camping in low season.

The campsite is still to be made but it is in the planning. However they r very happy to accommodate campers. We stayed in a space in the car park, its still a pretty spot, with great views over Lake Albert. Used a room for the bathroom and enjoyed relaxing at the pool. The team are really friendly and helpful. 15 USD pppn. Laundry 2000ush per item.

Eco Lodge overlookong the lake to DRC. Superb location and very nicely done. Pool, bar and restaurant with delicious chicken. Very attentive owner and general manager. Genuine Eco. Camping set up stillbeing worked on but the staff are very accommodating and helpful. Even wanted to help set up the RTT. Great place to chill. Quiet. Clean. Great hosting and welcoming. Highly recommend. The view across the lake at nighttime is fascinating.

Nice lodge with great views over lake Edward, however camping is either in the car park or at the back of the main lodge building. You use either the public toilets/shower at the pool or, if available, a room. At USD15 pppn it is very expensive for what you get.
When you arrive here after staying at Kluges it is rather disappointing. Others have alluded to a camp site being created, however there is no sign of that whatsoever.

We loved Kikonko. Mainly because they were so friendly and accommodating even though their campsite is still not quite finished. The lodge is stunning with fantastic views and can confirm that the night of 1000 lights is incredible to see. We had some great walks down to the lake as well and local waterfalls nearby (they recommend you take a guide but the route is very self explanatory and we took ourselves). Lovely eco lodge, great stop over which I would totally recommend, quiet and peaceful.

Great place, the pool alone is worth the cost, views , sunset etc are epic, staff, and food are great. the camping area is not very flat we just manage to level up .
staff are very helpful, it's a peaceful location, they open a room for us to use and you can sit on the balcony but the communal area is very nice. we only stopped here because Murchinson falls want silly money to enter in a foreign registered car ( more expensive than Maasai Mara!!) , they forget we have a choice and we will see a bigger/ better waterfall in Zambia ;-) , this was to Kikonko lodges benefit and ours, stayed an extra night

This is the perfect stop between Fort Portal and Murchison Falls National Park. The views at night over Lake Albert a simply amazing! Best camping spot in Uganda. Camping facilities will be ready by July 2022. Bathrooms and showers are very clean. Huge restaurant and swimming pool! Just the perfect place!

Not a campsite but they allow you to camp and open a room to use the shower/toilet
Very friendly staff and delicious meals, also a very nice pool you can use. A great stop at Lake Albert.

Really nice eco-lodge with a great view, bar, restaurant, and swimming pool. Their campsite is not quite finished but they allowed to park near one of the rooms and use the bathroom. Dinner was delicious. The staff was amazing and accommodated us with no reservation or prior notice. We had gone to Lake Albert Lodge to find out they were fully booked and no longer offer camping (even after someone in their office told us the same day they had space for us). Kikonko was a great alternative and even cheaper with no park fees.
$15 pppn camping
$15 3-course dinner per person
