(I'm in a standard clearance RWD Chevy Astro. Something with higher clearance and 4WD would have fared better. Still wouldn't advise though, especially if there's been any rain recently..)

Road from General Zaragoza to here is up there among the worst I've driven in 3+ years around Mexico and Central America! Took around three hours to drive 40km, a rocky, rutted and in some places steep nightmare that will test your chassis, brakes, tyres, wiring, internal fittings, cupboard doors fastenings, nerves and patience! Beautiful views and forest, but if my van had a voice it would have done a lot of loud swearing. If you care about your vehicle I strongly suggest routing via Ambarri instead!
