Something not right?

Description

There's a campground with some benches and restrooms by the lake. Marked location is the grocery store and gas station. There's a ranger station here but the park seems to be free. PS Due to the drought in California, there's no water at this part of the lake. I was told lake was full further south, May 2016

Great and easy dump :)
Also, free potable and non-potable water
Gas station next to it is out of order

stopped by to see if it had re-opened. there's a sign at the beginning of the road stating "campground closed" and further down the road just before the actual campground there's a barricade blocking the road stating "temporarily closed." the gas station, grocery store and ranger station are all also closed. there's no indication as to why things are closed and when they'll reopen. bummer, because this is a wonderful area and I'd have loved to stay here. the dump station and water filling station are still open and operating. I was able to fill up my jugs.

Report Check-In

This place is currently closed. You can only use the dump and water fill station.

Katie is the best camp host we have met in a while, seriously she is da bomb. Facilities are about a half mile round trip from campsite.

Big campground with a small convenience store. The woman working there said it's mostly empty. They do have showers and running water. A couple places also have full hookups.

the fee is now $18, don't think it's free with pass either

Great place to stay, magnificent view over the river. Free with annual pass. Several place near the river. Toilets

Report Check-In

Apparently it is not free. You have to pay for entrance or have the annual pass and then self-register by the pavement down the lake and pay 12usd for camping. We didn't stay - Irish canyon was way more better option for free.
