8th Street, between Alton Road and West Ave, has 23 spaces of free 24 hour parking, a rarity for South Beach. Also see 12 Street between Alton and West, 14 spaces more. The 8th Street location is between two fenced parking lots, making it more private to car camp. As 12 Street is between two apartment buildings.

Wow, this is incredible! Thanks for the hot tip on these spots. I found one on a Tuesday at 2pm in March, first drive past. Stayed overnight in Wynwood previously but these spots are way better.
Report Check-InCheck the weather for heavy rain. The street floods with a foot of water or more in places, making it difficult to get out of a parked vehicle. The avenues at either end are not affected. Also big wakes being pushed at parked vehicles by passing trucks etc. that can manage the flooding.

Report Check-InFree 24 hour parking, 23 spaces for cars, small trucks and vans. In addition to 12 Street, this is the only other street I've spotted in SoBe for free overnight stays.
