Description

Boat dock for the speedboat trip into Cañón del Sumidero. We did the trip around 10AM after we had to wait a little bit for enough guests to arrive to fill a boat. There's toilets (5pesos), a souvenir shop and snacks available at the dock. We paid 270pesos per person for a 2ish hour trip, saw monkeys, alligators and enjoyed the ride through the beautiful canyon with walls up to 1000m high. Well worth the money!!

Price is 320 pesos now. Boats leave when they are full

The price is now 290 pesos for adults and 235 pesos for children up to 11 years old. The tour lasts 2 hours and the views of the canyon cliffs are impressive. The fauna is also interesting to observe (crocodiles, cranes, pelicans, spider monkeys). Only downsides, we were 20 people in the boat, and we were tight. The boat driver also explicitly asks for a tip... Remember to visit the canyon from above, viewpoints are wonderful and your bracelet allows you to enter them "for free". The parking guard ask us 20 pesos, if I understood correctly it cost 80 pesos if you want to stay the night.

We really enjoyed the tour here. 270 per person and was around 2.5 hours. The views are beautiful and we saw lots of wildlife.

This is a great spot to go if you are in a big rig as the parking lot here is big and the entrance is just off of the highway.

The tour goes the full way again. I would recommend going to the main Chiapa de Corzo city centre and walking along the river to see which tour has the most people waiting in the lower seasons. Make sure you keep your bracelet if you want to go check out el Mirador after (or before! Totally worth it!). Saves you 54 pesos.
The views of this canyon are absolutely breathtaking if you’re a scenery buff! Bring whatever drinks you want aboard, enjoy!

Just an FYI, as of March 24/22 the boat tour only goes about halfway now, not all the way to the lake, due to a rock slide or something of the like (from what we understand with our crappy Spanish) and the cost is 220 pesos/person for about 1.5hrs. Not sure how long this will be in effect though. We camped the night before and bought our tickets around 9am, got on the boat about 9:45. Still a good tour with really beautiful scenery, saw crocodiles and spider monkeys and the canyon is awesome. Be sure to check out the miradors as well, more awesome views and admission at that gate is free if you show your wristband. Worth the stop!

The tour was nice, but we would recommend coming early during the week. We came at 1.30 P.M. and waited unsuccessfully until 4 P.M. when they close for the boat to fill up so we had to come again next morning.

We paid 270 pesos per person for the tour. The parking guy wanted 20 pesos for parking and an additional 50 pesos if we would have camped. He was so annoying with this 50 pesos (although we said we don't know if we stay yet) but didn't want to issue a receipt (we wanted to be able to prove if the night guard comes that we already paid) so we left and slept for free at the mirador entrance instead.

They'll take you all the way to the dam, stopping here and there on the way over. No stops on the way back, even though the light (for photography) would be better for some views.

Great to see the canyon from the inside, with walls rising hundreds of meters above the waterline.

The park entrance (bracelet) will also give you access to the NP by car; you could go and watch the canyon from above without paying an additional entrance fee.

We took the tour in the afternoon; next time, we would try to come in earlier (fewer clouds?) and spend more time at the Miradors.

Paid MXN 270 per person and MXN 5 per person for the bathroom.

Nice tour on a Speed boat through the canyon. We saw a lot of crocodiles along the shore. Great view on the canyon.

270 MXN per Person. It’s included the entrance fee for the park. So you don’t have to pay at the entrance (if you go by car to the miradors), just show your ticket.
