Very sad to report this place is closed. A security guard showed up early and woke me up. He said he’s been hired by the building owner to keep cars out of the parking lot next to the empty building. He asked me nicely to post on here informing people it’s no longer open for camping.

Stayed here for 3 nights while visiting SL. Arrived after dark and left in the morning. Nice big parking lot for large office building that seems to not be in use. This location is in the flight path so you do hear planes... alot quieter on Sunday as there were not as many flights. Please keep places like this clean so we can continue to use them:)

Clean park behind the office building with well groomed walkways and benches along the water (see pic)…. but no facilities. Close to a hotel. There were others camping there for the evening too. Very safe area.

As described, had a quiet night, no one bothered us. We came late and left early, building seems like to be still abandoned.

Still good. Google maps lists 'hi HealthInnovations' on the building but at least on this (south) end it's empty. I came by during the day to check it out and only the lawn guys were here. I hung out at a nearby park until dark then came here, slept great, left around 9am, no one bothered me. The street lights never came on which was a bonus but I didn't see any cats. There was another overnighter with their ground panels deployed as I was leaving.

Surprisingly really great spot! Like the other comments I stayed in the parking lot of the abandoned office building. Stayed two nights. No other vans in the lot both nights. Mosquitoes are bad though!! We made the mistake of opening our windows and went to war with the mosquitoes in our van. Would absolutely stay here again though!!!

Note: don’t know how much longer this building will be abandoned though. Friday morning a contractor came and was working in the building. Not sure if this is indication of a new lease moving in or not. I would check it out or regardless or try some of the other abandoned office building lots on this street.

Stayed here (nights only) from 4/10 to 4/22. Peak hours of approach to Salt Lake Airport put the jets right about over your head. Usually only lasts a couple hours. Very serene spot
otherwise. No amenities, but if you're looking for a spot not to be bothered? Does not get much better. Only one person sharing this for a couple nights.

Worked great. One other camper for the night. Feels a bit weird because it is technically private property but not currently occupied. Good option in the SLC area though.

We stayed here over the weekend and it was very quiet! The river walk is technically only for employees of the nearby companies but we never had any complaints while we walked it with our dogs. I’m not sure what it’s like during the week, but it definitely is the most quiet place we found in SLC! Good Verizon reception.

Stayed here one night and it was the quietest spot I've stayed around SLC. You can hear some of the loud trucks on the highway and some planes, but not bad and pretty irregular. No one else was around when I got there in the evening, slept in late and stayed til after lunch.

Wow what a great place. Just me and another suv. Great view on the lake. Nobody here. Sometimes there are planes from the nearby airport who make some noise but nothing crazy.

Like other descriptions said, it’s a big parking lot for an office space for sale/lease. We rolled up here in the evening and cooked dinner and slept here overnight without any problems. There were some other cars, most left before the middle of the night but one may have stayed or was a ghost as I saw it in the morning and then the next minute it was gone. The lights came on at about 9pm and shut off around 6am.

Great spot for a night, and it really is fascinating when you contemplate how many office buildings have been abandoned, make space for over landers and night dwellers to call home. You might ask the same question we did, why in the world do these non inhabited office buildings run their lights still, 24/7? Absurd.

The space is a bit bright, will all the electricity that the parking lot and building are still using. But it's a great place to stay the night, right next to the moat and lake and perfectly manicured grass.

I didn't get dragged into any 2 or 3 am local "fishing tournaments" unfortunately, however I was amazed at the amount of carp biomass that is in the pond. What in the world are they feeding these things? Surely more than just goose poop.

If it weren't so hot, we could have gotten real cozy here.

Smack dab in the middle of a gargantuan golf course / swamp in a parking lot full of ghost towny empty corporate buildings and a two to five-ish mile long trail which borders a nice icky moat which lazily flows around said swamp / golf course, this spot has been my go-to for about a year now.

I usually stay, obviously, in the parking lot of the three story empty building neighboring the Utah Housing Corporation. this way I can also fish during the night or day in the golf course toilet water river. However, about two or three in the morning you will have competition with the local Hispanics and might even get dragged into a fishing tournament. You'll see ice tents pop up over the perfectly manicured abandoned lawn, in the middle of summer... housed be the local fishing gurus. And they are crazy, crazy competitive. :)

My German Shepherd loves swimming for fish. She brings me a catfish or trout from the moat every once in a blue moon. Across the way there is a "MyPlace" or "MyHome" hotel with about 50 to 135 stray cats squatting near the dumpster and lovingly fed by the Manager....which keeps my German Shepherd occupied all night. If you are driving through and happen to notice a cat perched like terrified crows in every single Cottonwood tree along Bangerter Highway traversing a good three mile square radius... will, you then know that Griswald the Grizzly Bear and I are staying there that night. so look for the gray CRV and cub come say hi.

It is nice and quiet. All the buildings (4 of them) are pretty much abandoned since the pandemic excluding the pastel colored Zombie golfers during the day. But by night ... not one person can be found.

I like to hike at night with my dog and we just love trapsing respectively through the swampy golf course looking for fish, ducks and dead bodies. Golf Balls too however they more difficult to find these days.

Last summer I did have a visit by a bored K9 police officer but he just checked my license and then moved on and didn't really show an interest. the local police department K-9 units like bringing their dogs over to chase birds fish ducks and dead bodies as well.

So it's kind of convenient if I'm in town and I need a place to stay quick without the anxiety of my head being on a swivel watching my dog as she plays, it's really nice and it's got a good view have a really really nice icky mote.
