Small and simple local park that allows free overnight camping! Quiet (except for I-40 in the distance) and felt safe. Thank you San Jon!
Report Check-Incalm and lots of spaces to park. great alternative to the truck stop !!
Report Check-InThis was a nice quiet place to stay. I was there on a Friday night and there was plenty of space to park. And, there's a sign that invites free boondocking here.
Report Check-InQuiet night. Felt safe. The park was a little tricky to find because I arrived after dark, but it was just a couple of blocks from where the coordinates lead me.
Report Check-InEndroit accepté pour une nuit et toilette chimique présente pendant l’hiver. Endroit relativement tranquille. Éclairé.
Report Check-InThe reviews of this place are accurate. A little municipal park in the town of San Jon just of the i40, there is a sign in the park stating “free overnight parking”. Lots of other people parked over night, a mix of vans, RVs, and cars. Each parking spot has a picnic table and some of sun shelter an a bbq. The washrooms are closed for winter but there is a well serviced porta-potty. Felt safe, close to a gas station, and a convenient stop over on a long trek.
Report Check-InBel endroit calme près de l’interstate 40 et de station-service. Excellent réseau cellulaire
Report Check-InThis was an amazing one night stop! we stopped in the Allsups. Everyone that we met in the community was so nice. It was a very quiet night. I was also told that they were going to be doing improvements to the park soon. Very close to City hall, police, fire department, post office, and the allsups gas station.
Report Check-Instopped by on the way back to the east coast, another great quiet night. bathroom is closed for the winter, but there is a porta potty. trash on site, picking tables, and a free little library. several other vans here last night, one RV, and a couple car campers.
Report Check-Ingreat spot for an overnight, conveniently right over the TX border for those trying to get tf out of TX. parked next to a picnic table. decent TMobile service. bathrooms pretty clean, but no soap. dumpster on site.
Report Check-InAs described. One other camper when we were there. Washrooms were locked for the season, but there's a port o potty. Lots of spiky things on the ground, so make sure you wipe off shoes before going inside. They're not fun to step on with bare feet! Creepy abandoned buildings nearby. Free! Allsups next door.
Report Check-InQuiet and lonesome but lots of prickly on the ground everywhere. Had to pull them out of shoes and duggie paws. Decent quick to spot for pushing it kind of day.
Report Check-Inawesome spot! nice and quite this time of year. 2 other rigs there. sick sunset!
Report Check-InSame as described. Alsups convenience store next door has some great hot food.
Report Check-InGreat place to park camp for the night. washroom facility. Lots of other RVers. Felt safe and like a community. Nice to not be beside a bunch of truckers after tons of pilot stops.
Neat run down houses and gas stations nearby to explore!
Report Check-Init's quiet-ish. just of the freeway but not loud. only a few tables to park by but if one wanted there's plenty of other areas. I did find one which shaded the evening sun perfectly. bathrooms and a playground if you have kids, also a basketball court. it's at the community center so I would suppose it could be noisy at times during the day but I arrived at 630 and the only others here are two other campers
Report Check-InGood spot for a quick overnight. Lots of room to park. Flush toilet that is well kept and clean.
Report Check-InThis is a busy spot. We were the first two arrive around 3:30 and by the time 8:30 rolled around there were 6 other people here. It's a great spot. Nothing fancy. Trash and a porta potty. Feels safe so far.
Report Check-InNice spot for a night. Well lit, room for a big rig to park sideways. Sign says “Free Overnight Parking”
