Slept overnight in the dirt parking lot that runs along the train tracks. Trains stop running around midnight but start running around 6 AM again.

I have stayed here the past two nights in my minivan.
Have had no problems. I arrive around 10pm or so, park. sleep, and gone by 8am.
maybe it's because I'm in an auto and not an RV. but I've had no problems at all.
During the day from 5am till 11pm free parking is available south of the campground on hwy 101. then I move for overnight.
