Description

Pretty flat gravel parking lot just off paved road near Jordan Lake. Trails going down to lake but no view from lot. Used for hunters during season, to park. Not usually very busy. Surrounded by woods. No signs saying no overnight parking. Spent one night without issue.

Some trash, be careful if you have a dog. No public trash bin. Big, open lot with plenty of room. Several cars in and out at night and in the morning (at least over the weekend when we were there). ATT service is slow. 1 bar, can’t stream but can do the basics.

Gravel lot (public dove hunting area) tends to be quieter than the boat ramp. There were some rowdy folks by the lake, but they stayed to themselves other than being loud. We stayed here 2 nights with no bother. There’s a nice cornfield just through the woods.

it's a Saturday when I visited so pretty much people out here. the most majority would leave at night but expect people camping overnight. lake view is great. traffic late night would inflict much noise since they were driving fast

I wasn't able to find this place.

The road is a little noisy and I was unlucky enough to be next to someone blasting music, but otherwise a pretty great spot. It’s clearly visible from the road but I didn’t get the dreaded knock. Not super level but not horrible. Awesome view of the lake, and some little paths off to the sides for even better views (tho someone left a bunch of trash). Really nice little place!

It is on the same road as the “jordan lake pull off” on the map and is a 1 min drive from there.

This spot looks quite a bit different from OP’s photos now - looks like it’s been logged so is quite a bit more open. Also saw on one sign “no camping” (see photo) so I opted for the gravel pull-off just up the road and was not bothered. I doubt I would have been at this spot, but felt better without that sign. BUT a beautiful spot to access the lake. I got to see fireflies and lighting in the distance.

Stayed one night and was not bothered, except there were some random cars coming through in the middle of the night, plus some cars that parked right next to me around 5:30am (fishermen?). You can access the water from this spot and it is warm (June). I took a dip in the morning.

Report Check-In

Lots of trucks here fishing until about 10pm but then they all left and I woke up to just me. Kind of hard to angle into with all the other people and actually more traffic on the road then you would think.

Spent the night. We have a 170Sprinter and there is some wash out so not a lot of room to turn around but got situated pretty flat. Some road noise but comfy night. Great view in the AM. 2LTE bars on ATT.
