This store has a huge parking lot and I spent the night with no problems. it is located right off of 101 freeway. nice store with helpful staff inside. Walmart is located one exit down off of freeway, but Walmart and all the stores in that area have signs posted for 'no overnight' parking and they enforce it with security teams. so this Home Depot is a great find since pretty much all businesses in Gilroy want to ban anybody sleeping in their parking lots. so pick up your trash and pick up after your pets, get into your vehicles and be quiet. there are 'no loitering' signs all over this parking lot so stay in your vehicle and lay low. I have Verizon and I had two bars, so not the best internet.

Stayed 1 night and feel safe. Used washrooms and spent $ in store. Parked close to cruz truck part, had a bit of noise over the night,

Report Check-In

I asked a manager in Home Depot. She said HD allows overnight parking in their front lot (closest to San Ysidro Ave) but the City of Gilroy has a no-overnight parking ordinance but “people are parked overnight there all the time”. I stayed without issue. I was a little skeptical at first because there were a couple people there who looked like they’ve been there for several days, but it was a non-issue. Quiet too, except for a couple of drag races down San Ysidro around 11 pm :)

Peaceful overnight. Our second stop here. Not much road or parking noise even though store was open until 10 pm. We asked if it was ok if we stayed in the lot and the store employee said RVs stay there no problem. She said she thought the city owned the lot. Arrived 8:30 pm. Left 7:40 am

This HD has a huge parking lot. We arrived in the afternoon bc we don't drive our 30ft rig too long too far each day. We parked next to the first row of trees. Nobody bothered us. It has been a safe quiet(apart from freeway noise) stay.

Report Check-In

Spend the night here with a few other RV and cars. No problems.

Report Check-In

I stayed the night without interruptions. I went in and asked at customer service. A nice lady looked as though she was thinking about it for a moment and then told me she did not know of any reason why not. I was sceptical not knowing her position with the store so I parked my van between two rental trucks. I think it is ok.

Quiet stay. Nice bathroom. Safe. We were there in our Class B camper. A few others around.

Report Check-In

Calm. Big lot. Rather dark but felt safe. Few trees. Right in front of Home Depot. There was one other RV when we entered the parking lot around 23pm. We left at around 9am.

I stayed here for a night and there were no issues!
