I came in at night, and followed the directions to the other site titled "Crystal Geyser." I heard the Geyser go off around 6am and rushed to my windows, but couldn't see it, and it was still 40°F, so I didn't want to venture out. I went exploring in the morning, and found it about 200 meters down the way. If you want to camp as near as possible, this site has views and also a fire ring.
The road in is nowhere near as bad as others have made it out to be. I came in a 2wd Sprinter, going 35-40mph for the entire washboard section.
No services. This is not an ecosystem where you can dig a cat hole. Bring a Groover, or wag bags. I did manage to get one bar of Verizon 4G (at times).
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
This is an awesome spot.
Right on the river. No mosquitos, fyi.
There were 2 other campers when I arrived and 4-5 others when I woke up.
Very quit and a beautiful spot all around.
No bathrooms or trash cans so pack out what you pack in.

arrived around 7 pm, there were four other groups already set up. Geyser was pumping a little. quiet besides the people roaring in a gang of dune buggies blaring music!
Report Check-InNice spot next to Geyser that did not erupt. The spot was amazing next to the green river with fire pit. It did get very windy, so lots of dust. Overall great peaceful place.
Report Check-InSpent one breathtaking night here, park right in front of the geyser, it was amazing, arrived there at night and woke up there early morning with the view of a river, mind blowing rocks and mountains and of course the geyser!!
Truly recommend it, the road there is very durable, just don’t take turns to sharp but you can get there with pretty much any rig!
nice spot, we saw the geyser erupt at 8pm for about 1 hour and again at 10am (we are pretty sure it erupted during the night also). very hot during the day and the river is muddy but colder at night
Report Check-Inslept here for one night. very sweet place.
The geyser worked at 20:00 and again at 9:30
We got there at sunset and the geyser was going off right as we arrived! It also went off at about 3am—we had plenty of moonlight so that was very special to see it! About 2-3 ft of water gushing out from the little well.
The road in was a bit bumpy/washboard in sections but we took our time and were fine in our Ford van.
There was a small RV also parked @ the geyser and a third person came at night and parked their van as well—multiple flat options near the geyser itself. Everyone was very quiet and respectful. 1 bar of Verizon sometime but Google-fi had a couple bars. Beautiful views of river and stars.
Report Check-InWe are just past the geyser on a nice flat spot. Beautiful spot. Don’t go down the dead end road past this spot without real 4x4. Loose, muddy sand would be easy to get stuck in. I only walked a short way down the road so not sure where you can turn around if you need to bail.
Report Check-InAbsolutely beautiful. Lots of flat spots to camp off the road near the geyser, great sunset views. The land around the geyser is super cool…we stayed 1 night and didn’t see it go off but still cool to look around! No service with Verizon.
Report Check-InOnly one other person here on a Friday night in August. No service with Verizon. Can't talk about the geyser, as it didn't go off while I was here for one night passing through.
Report Check-InUsed Google Maps and coordinates to get here. Arrived around 4:00PM on Friday. Recommend arriving early or going during the work week due to quite a few people wanting to camp and not many actual spots. Unfortunately, we had to use a sound app on our phones because a bunch of Jack Holes decided to play music most of the night. I will never understand why people are so inconsiderate of others.
