Beautiful view of the Pawnee Buttes.
Very Windy, not good for tents.
Warning: The road is only 3mi, but it would be Very unsafe if wet or snowy.

As described, free and open year-round. Lots of "sites" where folks have camped before. Sign at trailhead gives rules for dispersed camping in the Natl Grassland. We experienced a very quiet night with light wind and no flies. Go figure!
Report Check-InLots of pull outs along the trail road. We came in the back side as there were some big ruts up at the top and I wouldn’t want to be here during rain. Great Verizon, we streamed movies. Spent 3 quiet nights. Highly recommend.
