.....
At the end of 12th St, next to the St Simons Lighthouse, there are several parking spots right on the water. Spent 1 night here, numerous cars showed up throughout the night, only 1 with loud music otherwise quiet. Great for a sunset over Brunswick. Food and shops within walking distance.

Unfortunately got the knock here on the night of 5 February 2024…all was true on previous entries as far as a nice quiet quant parking spot by the water…I am in a sprinter van so I thought I was pretty good…parked around 5:30 pm…walked to the near by restaurant and shops ..had a nice dinner at Georgia sea grill (FTT)…nice walk back to the van…I was sound asleep by 9:30 pm…at about midnight…I got the knock…Police notified me the it is illegal to camp in Glynn county…they were firm and told me they are going to swing bye in a few and if I’m still there would give me a fine…I departed shortly after and found a spot near the causeway bridge by a boat ramp…not as nice but no issues there.

People came there to watch the sunset but once it was over parking area was empty. No problems, no one bothered us, slept great

Report Check-In

Closed. Officer came by after complaint from locals. He will be patrolling and enforcing from now on. Went to Cracker Barrel and was a perfect night’s rest.

Great spot next to the water. It was quiet after sundown. One van next to me when I woke up this morning.
There are also public bathrooms nearby! (~5min walk) If you walk towards the pier, they're just past the playground and park, on the right. They were open at 730am so I think they might be open all night. There's also an outdoor shower halfway between this spot and the pier, but I didn't check if it worked.

Report Check-In

This is a public parking lot. It’s a cool and rainy Saturday evening. No “No Overnight Parking” signs. Close to the road but hardly any traffic so pretty quiet.
