Be very, very careful and alert parking here, I would not suggest it for more than a night or two if you have to stay in the city. It seems like a relatively safe part of Chicago but, that isn't saying much considering car theft over the last couple years. There have been broken car windows, and glass on the ground several times, and also take note of the other review from N Lakeshore about someone's van getting shot straight through in 2021. Overall the park seems safe to walk in during the day, until weirdness at night when you go south past the zoo. DO NOT DO NOT leave valuables in your car unattended, and leave as soon as you feel any sense of something weird happening. I wouldn't feel safe parking here again
Report Check-InThanks for this spot! Nice free parking area in Chicago next to a park. The area seemed safe, downtown is +/- 1 hour walk. Not permitted on Wednesdays morning.
Report Check-Init is very difficult to find a place, it is loud, only a few ours in the night with less traffic, always traffic, Busses always to go to the City, the area here is exzellent safe

Report Check-InStreet parking, no restrictions, pretty quiet at night. No public restrooms. Little pond near by. 5-7 min walk to Lake Michigan, which is a perfect sunrise spot. There’s unestablished dog park (a lot of people gathering in the same spot and let their dogs run off leash). Kids playground. Coffee shop two minutes away on Diversey Pkwy if need wifi.
