Latest Check-Ins

checking back in, just spoke to the rangers. the whole campground is closing May 4th! and possibly will not open again in September due to lack of use....nobody uses it so they are closing it down. fresh water, pit toilets, trash service. what a bummer. we will be packing up and out of here May 3rd. I'll check back when we come through again in fall to see if it is opened again.

Report Check-In

original poster here, I just happen to be back here just as the campground is supposed to close on May 4th 2023. I have paid to stay through May 4th. and in my research have found the loop in the woods is what closes seasonally. the 4 single sites and one group site before the woods remains open year round. this is as per the official website. as I said I will be here on may 4th and will confirm my research and report back after speaking with whomever is to arrive and lock the campgrounds. this spot is a gem. potable water spigot with easy access for filling RV tanks.

Report Check-In

I’m not sure why this is labeled a state park. It is a national forest campground. I went to reserve a site on the website and it says you cannot reserve campsites here online that they are all first come first serve. It is still $5 a night.

There is a sign saying they will be closing for the season and locking the gate on 5/4/2023. Does not say when it will reopen. See pictures.

Res only right now. 8 dollar fee plus 5 dollar day. $13 for a site. Not sure why they do this. Or why the reservation fee is 8 dollars, no one is doing anything its just an app...

Report Check-In

A really nice little cp, just half a dozen sites, spotless pit toilet - and nobody here, we had it all for ourselves. 2.50$ with NP annual pass. potable water faucet.
