Site has a steep entry, but the stone road is not rutted or overly rocky on the steepest part. As it levels, expect some larger rocks. Medium clearance recommended. I’m here with my Transit 350 RWD and I’m comfortable I can get out easily enough. The entrance road has a circle around it in the photo taken from my camp site.
Easily 6 or more informal sites with shabby fire rings, although I’d check for fire bans before using them. Everything is slanted, but some spots worse than others. Beware of cow turds. The water is pretty shallow right now; not the swimming or fishing hole you’re searching for unless it rises.

It looks closed, there were big boulders blocking the slope down, and some construction next to it (this may just be due to storm damage). North End was open but we decided it was too steep.
Report Check-InGreat little camp, not super level but a few rocks fixed that. Drive down from the north (southbound on 395), a little bumpy, but we have very high clearance so it was fine.
Report Check-InBeautiful spot! Road noise isn’t too bad. I got down alright with my non-4x4 Sprinter. Best to approach from the north so you don’t have to back down the entrance. Lots of room to turn around at the bottom though.
Report Check-InBeautiful spot. Hard to find a level spot but stacked some rocks to make it a little better. Only stayed one night because the bugs right now are absolutely insane. I'll definitely be back though.
Report Check-InNice spot. Medium to small rigs only (recommendation). Some road noise, not bad. Restful night waking to geese calling as they landed on the lake. Other spots going south along lakeshore. Visible (Verizon) signal good.
