Description

Relaxed little camp side with restaurant. Plenty of space to pitch your tent on the white sand under palm trees. Everything new and clean (opened in April 2021), they are currently even building cabañas.

Bathrooms with showers plus outdoor showers. We were allowed to use the kitchen of the restaurant to cook. On Sundays they have a buffet from 8am for 100$ per person (60 for children).

We were the only guests for a whole week, only few people in the restaurant. Angelika who runs the place is really nice and likes to chat. It was pretty quiet all day but they had a tv running in the restaurant all day (telenovelas for everybody).

Price was 150$ ppn in own tent, could negociate to 100$ when staying a week. You can also rent a tent, but I don't know the price.

There is another camp side right next door but it has only few space and privacy and is even more expensive (200$ ppn).

Nice place to stay, calm and quiet with hot water, hammocks, WiFi and a restaurant, and you can rent a tent for $250 or use yours for $150. Close to the beach and if you gonna stay more than 3 days, you could negotiate to camp by $100 pesos with your own tent. Consider a lot of mosquitos at night.
All island is a calm paradise.

El Cuyo is a paradise and it’s absolutely worth to spent a couple of days there if you want to relax.

Unfortunately there exists only 1 Campground for Vans/Motorhomes. Everything else is Glamping. The day I arrived in El Cuyo Paach Kan looked nice and tidy. But day by day it went in a huge chaos. There is a family of 10 who needs space. They are very kind and the kids are nice but I had to leave after the 3rd night. I can’t describe how dirty it finally has been. Disappointed because my plan was to stay longer.

It is really annoying to read good comments and be so disapointed upon arrival.

It is a bit more than a parking lot with some garbage around. loud bass music until midnight.

here, they even tried to charge us (Defender, 2p) 500 pesos. they went down to 300 later.

Really nice site, they now rent more land, so there is space for vans and bigger rigs. 150p/P, very nice, clean amaneties, hot showers. family very sweet, TV not loud. peaceful garden with deck chairs. Quiet at night, even on weekend. 1min from the beach.
El Cuyo is a hidden paradise with endless wild beach, cool caffes and few, relaxed tourists. Absolutely gorgeous!

very nice place. everything has been written before is true. showers with hot water! the cabanas is ready now.
we came with our van and their land not really have a space for that but ! they charged us 150p for parking and 2 people for using all the facilities of the place (hot showers, toilets, cooking..everything clean) and we're very friendly, we also ate together dinner.

the parking is next to the restaurant in open part that is flat and felt safe! because it was next to them. they left the restaurant open for us to use the facilities.

the TV does work the whole time and it a bit noisy, the company and the family was so nice that it didn't bother us at all :) recommended

Very nice camping run by a large family with lots of kids. They are all very nice and quiet most of the time. Everything is very clean and beautiful. Free wifi. Nice restaurant with good, cheap food. 150 pesos ppn if you have your own tent. They have tents to rent for 250 pesos. A little advice, try not to put the tent under the coconut trees! ;)
