Description

Safe place to pass the night in emergency. Facing the Jesuit/church. noisy - it was weekend/1st may which is the san jose festive week so was crowded with festivities going all night. We moved twice due to noise from drums n pipes. It was fun to see folklore music and dance but after 12am it got a little too much. May b weekdays will be better. There is water tap in the grounds of square.

Parked here for the night. Of course busy and a lot of noise, happy with the noisecancelling of our headphones.
Big plus of this place is you can use the swimmingpool and hammocks (and shower) of the hotel misiones de chiquitos for 30 Bol pp.
Also the view on the church by night is nice.

Very noisy Sunday night, until after midnight many noisy people were around … and again so noisy very early Monday morning because of traffic, it felt like waking up on a busy highway. But it’s a beautiful large square and big mission. Church was open on Sunday after 3 PM, museum had to be open at 4 PM, but they didn’t let tourists in, because of a problem at the church … the priest didn’t allow visitors at the museum at that moment, no idea when he would change his mind. As wel the museum guard as the girl ar the visitor centre were annoyed about it, but couldn’t change the situation.

Bit noisy on a week - night, but noise dies down after 23:00 is & we had a peaceful night. Convenient stop if you want to eat in the restaurants in town. Also, the mission here is best seen towards the end of the afternoon when the low sun lights up the facade.
