Beautiful spot with swimabble beaches all around the campground. You can spend the day here with a Discover Pass if you don't want to pay the $37 for a tent site or $50 for a rv site.

A beautiful hidden gem of a campground. It is an excellent location for campers who are also avid boaters and fishers. Located on Banks Lake, near Grand Coulee; it has a nice boat ram with plenty of parking, along with a nicely equipped playground on a jetty and a nearby snack bar that operates during the high season. There are 4 campground loops located southwest of the boat ramp and day use area. These loops have all been built out over time and are all a bit unique from each other, both in terms of layout and vegetation choices.. We stayed in the new Cove Loop, and couldn't have been more impressed with the big rig friendly layout, well thought out hookups, and generally nice camping area. It helps that the Cove Loop is brand new and hasn't had thousands of previous campers there to use, and unfortunately, abuse the equipment at the campsites. All campsites in the Cove Loop were full hookup with 50/30/20 amp power, water and not one, but two, dump ports. The campsites all had small, but nice steel fire rings. Metal picnic tables were also new and clean. The camp area was covered in pea gravel, which the camp host dutifully raked after each camper's stay. While fine to be on if you are just hanging out at the camp site in a camp chair, may not be so nice to sleep on if you were in a tent and sleeping on the ground. It might even be hard to secure your tent to the ground in these conditions. Like other Washington State Parks, showers are hot, but are coin operated and use tokens you purchase from the Welcome station at the entry to the park. The entry to the park is a good distance from the camping loops, so pick up your shower tokens when you arrive or else you will have a bit of a walk or bike ride to get your tokens later. For as much as you pay for a site at Washington State Parks, you'd think they would have free showers. Speaking of cost, we paid $45/night for the full hookup, back-in site. A bike/foot path connects all the camping loops, to the jetty with the playground and day use area. The path runs along the edge of the loops and the shoreline with Banks Lake. It is heavily used, but the view of the "steamboat rock" formation and the lake and the columnar basalt that composes most of the surrounding geography is breathtaking.
