Description

Casino allows overnighting in the parking lot off of 23rd Avenue and Horseshoe Casino Drive free of charge.

If you need a site with water and electric, and a dump station, they have RV parking off of Mid America Drive. It is $40.00 a night for a spot on an asphalt parking area.

We choose the free parking lot. Which was well lit at night and we felt safe.

Casino has clean restrooms and a couple of restaurants if needed.

18 Wheelers have separate parking lot also near 23rd Avenue.

busy on a Kentucky Derby Saturday but still fine for an overnight stay

Report Check-In

Stayed last night. Yep. A giant paved parking lot. I parked with half a dozen other rigs parallel to 23rd. Given it is the weekend of the Berkshire Hathaway AGM, there was plenty of room. Was not bothered by anyone

Report Check-In

We stayed here for 1 night and it was fine. It wasn’t clear where the correct parking lot for overnight parking was so we called security and they weren’t too helpful but we just parked closest to 23rd near the entrance. Pretty quiet

I got here and called security (712-396-3627) to make sure it was okay to park over night. Their number is listed on a sign i saw on the property when i was driving around. I’m car camping.

They okayed it but said to park in the north lot (corner of 23rd and horseshoe casino ave) and I can park anywhere I want in this lot. I’ve seen security pass by a few times now and they didn’t stop and say anything to me.

Several emergency phones with blue lights available to park by. I asked security if the RV parking lot is open. They said it is closed seasonally from April-end of Oct, but they didn’t have exact dates. So if you need those hookups, consider calling ahead to confirm they are open.

Report Check-In

Asked inside and they said it's fine to stay in the parking lot overnight. We parked in the big lot in front of the entrance (not the smaller one directly in front of it).

We decided to use one of their pay sites for a night so we would have access to their showers and laundry as well as the water, power, dumpsite, and dumpster. We usually boondock, but sometimes, on a hot muggy day, it is nice to have the extra amenities. They had enough grassy areas for the dog, and since they were not full, we were able to have some spaces between us and the nearest camper. Their prices vary depending on which days. The previously mentioned $40 per night price is for Sunday through Thursday nights, but they charge $50 per night for Friday and Saturday. The laundry, showers, and bathrooms are in a small building in the RV parking lot with the dumpsite at the back of the same building. It does not have potable water, but if you camp there, you can fill your fresh water tank at your campsite.

Stayed in the north lot like others said without any problems. Good cell service nice bathrooms inside. Kinda weird to get interrogated to enter but it’s whatever. Not a bad casino won 8 bucks on a penny slot hah. Bartender I got was super rude though.

Report Check-In

Nothing has changed except the cafe inside is now closed leaving only two options to eat in the casino. from the reviews I have read I would recommend anything else nearby for food.

Report Check-In

it's still here and there are a few trailers and vans in the lot. Free coffee and soda inside. Open 24 hours, nice for middle of the night bathroom runs. The casino has free wifi but I can't get it from the parking lot. 4 bars Verizon 4g.

Report Check-In

We first parked in the RV parking lot, they have a ton of parking spaces that don't require any hookups, but we saw someone walk up to the van and take pictures of the licence plate. Not sure if they were employees or not but it made us rethink where we were, re-read the comments and drove to the north and stayed the night there along with a few other campers. Definitely some road noise but not too bad

Report Check-In

Great place to stay for the night. I stayed in the north lot as far away from casino as I could get. It is a very flat parking lot which is really nice. If you don’t want to listen to the truckers idling all night then park closer to the entrance/near the light.

Report Check-In

I checked in with security and he said it was ok to park anywhere in the north lot and stay overnight. He also said it was fine to stay for up to three nights. A few other vans in the parking lot and free coffee/soda in the casino along with bathrooms and food (the restaurant reviews for the casino are pretty bad). A couple of other restaurants nearby.

Report Check-In

Another overnight at this location. Popular spot tonight, at least 8-10 rigs of various sizes this day.
