Drive down the gravel road about 1km and there’s a fire pit and clearing. Mostly pine forest with some meadow clearings. Watch for large rocks on the path.
There is space for a truck to turn around - I’m not sure about hauling a trailer.
Paths lead to a lake & forest. Nice morning views.
If you follow Shepody Road (also called New Ireland Road), there’s plenty of tracks you can pull into.
It’s all logging / snow mobile and atv trails back here.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
just turn the first smaller dirt road left and continue for a while and you end up at this level and solitude place with a nice view. road is not really bad (cell reception is) just parts with small rocks.
Report Check-InPast by the two water front sites on the main road before continuing on as both were full - actually very full - continued on further up and off to the turn to this site and was pleasantly surprised to find this site was imo even better than those. Tent site was fairly wide open, fire pit was well defined. Left some wood stacked for the next person. There’s room for more than one setup. Very quite woke up to birds singing.
