Small parking area next to the Truckee river and train tracks. Relatively level and quiet.
No amenities but good place to stop for free in an RV. Good mobile phone signal for streaming etc

Stayed one night. One other car camper rolled in and stayed after us. Train went through around 9:30/10pm but then not again until morning. Not really a good dispersed spot, but fine for a night parking.

Report Check-InNice quiet spot. Saw three trains but no cars all night. Tons of snow right now. Pullout is not plowed but the road in was clear.
Report Check-In7pm on a random Wednesday night. No one here. There is a fence and a gate. The gate has a no parking sign. There is another sign that reads authorized vehicles only. If anyone stops me I'll ask for forgiveness over permission. No parking must be so people do not block the gate. No amenities but 5 bars of service on Verizon.
Report Check-InEnd of the road. the end where I parked my 35' Montana 5th wheel drops off. Make sure your levelers are bolted as high as possible and of course fully retracted. I have a caster wheel on my rear trailer hitch and it was touching. This is a nice spot next to the river. The trail passed by at 3:20 in the afternoon. Great cellphone coverage.
Report Check-InGreat for the night on our long route. A couple of trains past but they stopped overnight. Very quiet. Parked away from the gate and only saw two dog walkers. Lovely views
Report Check-InStayed again with no issue. Forgot to take a photo but pretty sure the no parking signs are just for in front of the gate. Don’t block the gate and you’ll be fine.
Report Check-InPretty chill spot. A few trains came thru at night & the hwy is on the other side but no cars drove the road next to the parking area and we had a peaceful night. Several spots all along this road, this one seems to be the biggest. River access too 👌🏼
