Huge BLM roadway full of different camp spots. tons of different zigzags off the road. many places to pitch a tent or park the RV. this place hasn't always been the cleanest but every time I've returned I've picked up trash. So, it's getting to be a lot nicer. A great spot to camp that's close to town. A little bit of road noise. There's a fire department right nearby where you can get great water.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Trash city. For example, you’re greeted with an entire mattress at the front entrance. I’m not sure how the last people to check in missed any of this trash, because it’s literally everywhere. There even appears to be an entire deconstructed house just to the right of these coordinates (in the same BLM area).
There’s also a ton of noise from the road.
There are a *few* ok sites, but they’re so few that they were already taken or are in a super crowded area.
The only positive I have is my car was able to make it around all the piles of trash easily because the road is very level/flat for the most part.
Report Check-InWe had a quiet night and the area was quite clean
Lots of room for many vehicles!
Large dirt lot with lots of bushes. Plenty of other RVs. Lots of spots. Verizon service is good with Jetpack.
Report Check-Inlots of trash in the wash, but sites are fairly clean, quite a bit of road noise. not a lot of people in this side of the road. decent Verizon Signal. No amenities.
Report Check-Instill quite a bit of road noise, but much fewer vehicles parked over here. far enough apart, with higher brush, for more privacy. less trash on this side of the Ajo road too.
Report Check-InThis side of Old Aho Hwy seems to be quieter. Both fewer rigs and less highway noise. Some particularly soft sand though. Restaurant indicated on original post. Non on-site but some within a few miles.
