Latest Check-Ins

We arrived cycling and asked a police officer at 500m if we could camp. He said no prob. There are some trees with firepits, you can access the water easily. All safe and free. There are a lot of mosquitos! At 6am the fishermen are coming, but a few. They do their business. Later on some come with their families, but not a lot. Behind the wall, you can do your business with a beautiful view of Iztaccihuatl (5230m). Don't forget to pick up your garbage and if you can, some other.

Report Check-In

Very calm, we did not hear the fishermen in the morning, at 7 am they were already there. They are very friendly! The spot is not very beautiful now everything has burned I added a photo.

Report Check-In

Stayed here one night. There was a cop parked not far from here so we asked if it was ok to camp and he said it was no problem and that it’s very safe as it’s always guarded by someone. It’s a good spot for one night, it was quiet but lots of fishermen early in the morning, not a lot of places to do your business 🤣 packed up early and moved on.

Report Check-In

Thanks to the overlander who shared this place! Quiet spot with nice views, the only noise you hear is coming from the water birds. 3 bars cell signal. Next to the military airfield, policia estatal has also some installations at the access road about 300m before the camp place. There are some trees and a fire pit.
