We don't like Star Wars, but we LOVE Starwors!!! Definetely our favorite campsite in South Africa. Before coming, I thought it may be a little bit shabby, but the place is amazing, fun and the details are really good. Themed showers in the rocks are amazing. They have a fun game where there are many rocks painted as Star Wars characters hidden througout the property. The kids where searching all the time, and we too! Try also the outdoors wood fire hot tub while you do stargazing.

Price for wookies is 220 ppn.
Eewoks stay for free!

What a unique place!
But unfortunately it was fully booked. The owner offered us a "wild" campsite near his place. We could use a clean and modern shower + toilet. We paid 150 ppn, normal rate is 200 R.
The friendly owner showed us his farm, very exciting.

The actual name is “Star Wors” as in the Afrikaans word for sausage. We arrived at the gate without a reservation. We called the owner Johan +2782 331-2616. He was very friendly and told us that he was fully booked but that we can camp near the storeroom, or basically anywhere we like. We drove until we found a spot and set up camp. There is a shower and toilet at the storeroom. And if you book in advance you can camp at the actual camp spot. But we were very happy in the wild. We also found good reception where we stopped. The price was R150 per person per night. Just a note - when coming from the main road the previous GPS coordinates will tell you to turn left where there is no turn off. Just drive a couple of metres until you see a sign (I have since logged the fault -maybe the coordinates are correct now)

3 campsites. Private shower and shared toilets.
lovely campsites. Each has a boma with private braai and a wash up basin. Hot watet from a gas geyser.
No power, but lighting provided by solar. Can also run your fridge off the camp solar.
Big rig friendly.
On a farm just outside Nieuwoudville.

Nice camp site and ablutions.Centrally situated to visit all flower attractions.No problem to access site with large overlanders.

We visited the day before the camp was officially opened. We met the owner and developer who excitedly showed us around and let us take pictures. We were impressed! A unique experience to the characterful town of Nieuwoudtville.

A brand new themed camping facility with professional input to make this a must see destination. The name sounds a bit wacky, but that is part of the fun. Beautiful Star Wars themed bathroom facilities, braai and heated swimming pool, private lapas, 12V and USB power. - high quality and lovely vistas over Nieuwoudtville from between the rocks of the koppie (hill) where it is situated.
