Just an update. The employee at the visitor told me that it was fine to park overnight on the east side of the barricades, just not directly in front of their building. We just stayed one night and several other people were camped here as well.
Report Check-InGreat spot to hang out. Fast internet, bathrooms, showers($6), comfy couches.
Report Check-InGreat spot for a quick bite to eat. Had sandwiches, coffee, burgers, and wraps!
Report Check-Ina great place to stop during the day for wifi, but they turn it off when they close at 8pm
Report Check-InSuper friendly, super nice, Free Wifi Visitorcenter (Tour Yukon Salmon20) 60°03′53.73″N 128°42′49.48″W.
Report Check-InEstuvimos algunos días justo al frente del centro de visitantes pero en el parqueo grande al lado del Bosque de las señales. No hubo problemas.
We spent a few days right in front of the visitor center but in the large parking lot next to the Forest of Signals. There were no problems. Even police came around to check visitor center and we weren't bothered. Many campers sleep every day. If you park near to the center you can use the WiFi. Internet from 8am to 730pm only. If you're lucky like us, you can see red foxes crossing the parking lot around 10pm.
Report Check-InGreat visitor center with lots of information! Right next to the sign post forest.
The Rec center is in the same building, $6.30 for shower/bowling/sauna.
Open 8am-8pm, May 01 - Sep 30.
Rec center closed at 5pm on a Friday so missed my opportunity for a shower. Wifi at the new visitors center is very slow and not suitable for getting any work done, but it is free.
Stayed the night behind the signpost forest.. nice and quiet except for a few rowdy teenagers yelling "get off our land". Lol. All the grownups in town are very friendly to visitors.
The front smaller visitor center lot does not have any parking restriction signs, the back larger lot does.
I stayed in the front small lot without bother.
Kids playing and screaming on the playground until 10pm or so, so it was loud but then quiet for the night.
Stayed in the visitor centres parking lot for the night as I needed WiFi. Had no problems staying here and took a shower at the recreation centre in the morning which was really nice.
