Description

Slightly hidden rest area - when you get off the highway there will be a campground to your right (coming from I-70 E) and the rest area is down a winding path to the left of this campground. Could not hear the highway at all. No overnight camping signs, nothing stating you cannot park overnight.

Very quiet rest area and don’t hear any highway noise. Lot was almost full when I arrived at 10 PM, but had no problem finding a spot.

As far as rest stops go this was 10/10. very quiet, warm bathrooms and nice views. Close to Glenwood Springs which is a nice town and has some great restaurants. Maybe don't stay too long but wonderful for a night. You can barley hear the highway

Not exactly what I planned. But I’ve been in a lot worse rest areas 4pm on a Monday with a lot of passenger cars, some fisherman fishing the river and 3 vans. I’m the only trailer parked across car spaces. Hoping for no knocks. If there are I’ll report back. Easy on/easy off. No knocks. I70 eastbound.

Report Check-In

We sleep here for one nigh. No noise! Ok for us.

Report Check-In

We were able to stay here overnight in our 25’ travel van. There were others here in campers or cars (discretely sleeping). Washrooms are well maintained. One of the nicest rest areas we have seen.

Report Check-In

As previously reported. Clean and nice scenery. Road noise is very minimal, but there is noise from trucks driving through the car park area during the night that will wake you.

Report Check-In

Pulled in with our van at 21:30. Only one other van, two regular cars, and a pickup truck with a camper shell (popped up) in the lot. Clean bathrooms with tp! Sheltered from the freeway. Water fountain/bottle fill station preset, but not working at the time of this post. Two vending machines available. Overall a place to rest after 8 hours on the road, but the trains did wake me up a few times in the night.

Report Check-In

Sign says no loitering but there were several other campervans for the night with no issue. Only stayed one night

Report Check-In

Way nicer than the other option I had stopped going west. Lots of vans also. Quiet night.

Report Check-In

Fully serviced rest area. Slept in camper overnight, flat parking, off the highway with minimal noise, dark with some street lamps, good reception and toilets. Recommend this spot for a great night sleep. There was a water bottle refill station.

Report Check-In

Blizzard ended up getting bad enough that I didn’t feel safe traveling to the next sleeping spot. About a dozen other cars had the same idea. Stayed until 8:30am and no one bothered me. Pretty spot once it was clear. Glad to be able to use the heated restrooms.

Report Check-In

Big sign that says No Camping. Right at the lower parking lot.
