Came to this spot after passing up the WisDOT location nearby because there were no camping signs. 9 other campers here on a rainy, dreary night, all parked in a large empty field like lemmings. The first post described lovely picnic tables and fire rings, but these were all near residences and surrounded by lush grass. So we came to the field with the others. Pretty quiet except for the RV running their generator (hope that will end by nightfall) and another guy playing spoons. Verizon 4.7 down/1.6 up. AT&T not so much.
Book this location through Harvest Host or Boondockers Welcome.

Report Check-InFound this on Campendium and Boone dockers welcome. Spent a wonderful four days here next to the lake. If you go up to the lodge you can get mediocre Internet. I list the ups and downs in the YouTube. Lots of spots all over the place with fire rings and picnic tables and also big open fields and big open parking lots. https://youtu.be/pvPL5VWHJaY
