Something not right?

Description

Just off the highway, tucked away on a dead-end road, Old Deer Park. Across the highway from the 101 rest stop (which is a good place too). This cul-de-sac is quiet and private. And there is a view of the strait. A deer was chowing when we arrived.
However, not a glamorous spot, but excellent for just 'need to sleep' stops. Turn off the highway like you’re going to the Deer Park Campground. As I recall, this road is the second right-hand turn which takes you past a power transfer station.
T-mobile had calls and texts but no data service.

Latest Check-Ins

Same as stated below. Loud but a decent spot to pull over and sleep. Better than the rest stop across the street which has a large homeless population.

Good, private stop. The road noise was constant but not loud. No other traffic apart from the storage units, which Google tried to get me to drive through. No shooting heard today. Very little trash at this time, so I cleaned up most of it except for some broken bottles.

A decent little place. It's secluded enough, and it's on a tiny cliff face with a view of the nearby highway. There was trash left on the ground. there's a nearby shooting range so we could hear some sporadic shots.

We arrived late, around 11 and saw one broke down van and a very worn out vehicle leaving the parking lot, we stayed here with no issues until about 6AM. It’s not even a residential road, it’s by a storage unit and some power lines, no one near by to bother you and a large parking lot that can be seen by the highway. It was perfect.

Report Check-In

Dead end turn around. No services. Some road noise. Distant view of Vancouver Island. Rest stop across freeway and within view. it was quite busy with overnighters.

Report Check-In

visible from the highway but not noisy in the van. we were able to set up a tarp to make dinner in the rain, but we took it down before bed for maximum inconspicuity. no one bothered us in this relatively level spot and there was lots more room for other cars.

Report Check-In

it is ok for a night , relativly quite, noise from hwy, no one bordered us, waste car at 7.30am and also workers at 8 am

Report Check-In

Quiet, mostly level, quieter than the Rest Stop across the hwy. beautiful sunrise and peekaboo view of the straights. highway noise expected but far enough away not to disturb our sleep

Report Check-In

spent the night here, and it was plenty quiet as it is a decent distance from the highway. no problems in the night, however a man claiming to own the property hassled us to leave in the morning. he claims he leases the land back to the county and is tired of unsavory RV types staying here. there is no signage claiming the property to be private or not suitable for overnight parking and I mentioned this to him. his response was people keep stealing the signs. Park here at your own risk.
