Something not right?

Description

This location is a not so hidden gem. Just passing by you would not think much of it. However, you can camp here for three nights if you have the Discover Pass.

During my stay I've seen mostly people coming here to fish. There is one vault toilet. No water or trash can. Pack it out.

And there is a small walking path that will lead you to the Tieton River. cool and refreshing.

Please take your trash with you. I've actually since bags of trash sitting along the side left by people to lazy to take their trash with them.

Latest Check-Ins

Doable in winter as well, though not plowed (have traction tires, 4WD, and/or chains). 3 day max. Bathrooms closed in winter.

I just drive by and it is open. There were a lot of people fishing.

Cute little pond just off Hwy 12. It was open when we were there. Requires Discover Pass. Nice short path around lake which goes by river which was just what we needed after a day in van. Our dog lived it too. We were alone except for a few quick cars that stopped by. We had 1-2 bars for AT&T. Seems like a lot of little spots to pull off heading west toward White Pass. But not sure if phone service would be good.

Report Check-In

Currently closed to overnight due to wildfires!! There is a sign that says emergency closure. Next person please update when this has been lifted.

This is a cool little fishing area with lots of room to park and a couple pit toilets. Good for day use still.
