There are about 20 spots along a dirt road that are available for wild camping. You have to be in a designated site but other than that there’s no amenities or anything. The Rock Creek trailhead is at the end of the road. The road gets bumpier at the end — I was fine in my outback.

Beautiful dispersed camping. Stayed in Site 18 for the night, two vehicles. Road getting in is rocky but doable in any vehicle. 2 bars service. Great spot.
Report Check-InSpot 8- more of a pull off, but works great with starlink! I checked out site 9 which is much nicer overall except too many trees for starlink. It’s a Wednesday night in September and half the spots are taken at 7:30pm
Report Check-InI agree with others that sites 11+ are worth the drive. We stayed at site 18 and loved the walk down to the creek from the back of our site. If you have the time and energy, hike the Rock Creek Trail to Boulder Lake. Definitely worth it. No mosquitoes this time of year. It did get down to freezing temperatures at night during our stay so be prepared.
Report Check-InWhow, this place is busy. Like said before-the spots get nicer the more you drive up the road. But if you are looking for solitude, this is definitely the wrong spot, especially on a weekend in the Summer.
Report Check-InAmazing place. Sites 11+ are absolutely worth the drive out — insanely beautiful sunset & stars, plus the chance to meet some really cool people. No T-mobile signal, but could def set up star link up there. Road is washed out to get there, but I had no problems with my Hyundai hatchback, and my friend did it in a Honda Odyssey.
Report Check-InPrimitive camping, but most definitely not dispersed. There's about 23 sites along this road to the trail head. Each one is marked with a metal sign and some areas have about 5 sites packed into a small offshoot. The roads are so mild even a subaru or an RV can make it. If you're looking to do some overlanding or desolate camping, than the sites along this road will leave much to be desired.
Report Check-InMade it in a 2wd low clearance vehicle. Stayed a month ago when it was colder at site 12 right next to the creek. No problems. Now that it’s warmed up? Soooo many mosquitoes. Gonna try a different spot.
Report Check-InSites 11-16 it's a loop and the back sites (13&14) back up to the creek. Very open, great for solar. You will be near neighbors. HOWEVER...lots of glass on all the sites.
There is one part of the road that might seem to need 4×4, but we managed it fine in our 2wd Promaster. Just take it easy.
Made it in my rwd Ford Transit 148" wb ext, once you turn onto 1350 the road gets a lot bumpier, narrow, and rutted but with careful maneuvering you can make it up. The camp spots are numbered, I wouldn't drive past spot #10 in my van because the road gets pretty steep and rutted. Probably need 4/awd and decent ground clearance to get up that.
Really quiet surrounded by lots of trees. The occasional car drives by, but since there's no OHV allowed it's usually slow and quiet. Slow ATT service
Report Check-InNice dispersed and free campsites with plenty of spaces. Road can get rough toward the end and closer to the start of the trail.
Report Check-InThe trailhead is a beautiful spot for a picnic, at least, when the camping road is snowed in!
