Nice spot! One of the best along this road, although you can find others if this one is taken. Had a bit of a tough time finding a good level spot for the truck camper but not bad at all. Got very cold next to the river!

Report Check-In

Great spot. Very flat. Good Verizon signal. Washboard road for 3 miles. We went 10 mph to keep the rattles and shakes to a minimum. It was worth it. Awesome river access. Room for several vehicles. There was one other person there when we stayed.

Report Check-In

Really nice spot right on the river. Warning....it's not a good spot if it's snowy and icy. The whole bottom of this site turns into ice and if you don't have the right tires, you're not getting out on your own.

Beautiful spot right on the emerald green Deschutes River. Several sites on the road in were full but this spot was completely empty. Tough to get level but not impossible. Stayed 2 nights all alone for a couple miles in every direction. Picked up some trash but site is pretty clean. 10/10 would recommend.

Just as described. Another camp already setup when I arrive last night, but plenty of room for two, prolly more (other camp still there when I snagged my pics, but far enough away not pictured). Quiet (besides occasional car on dirt road which could be mistaken for wind noises), solid star gazing and beautiful view of the river from the site.

Report Check-In

As described, large open spaces for 2-3 small camps. Seems to be a “hunter’s camp” so I might avoid during season. Overall clean, did pick up several shotgun casing. Saw ducks, mule deer, a bald eagle, and signs of beaver . Stayed two nights.

Report Check-In

Quite river camping but the bumpy dirt road to get there was almost not worth it. The road needs major repair as there are non stop bumps and huge pot holes. Not to complain as it was free but fair warning you will shake many things loose if you’re in a camper van like us.

•two bars of service and LTE- (verizon/ AT&T)
• little car traffic
•no trash around! (Let’s keep it that way)
•river access although the river was green and cloudy
• relatively level spots
•plenty of camping all along the dirt road- keep driving in if campsites are full

Beautiful spot right on the water. Just be aware you might have some stranger that will squeeze his way in next to you. Then it kinda makes it not worth being there.
