Something not right?

Description

We found a pull-off from the main road and followed it down a trail. as we drove down we saw a few signs that indicated that at one time this was probably someone's property. the home is now destroyed but there are a few signs and benches left.

if you follow what we think was an old boat launch down the pebble road, you'll come to an area on the river that is crystal clear and incredibly shallow! it's (slow) moving water and suitable for filling a water tank.

this place is incredible. if you choose to use it, please treat it with respect. across the river is the reiner river trail. Tahsis town has cell coverage as well as garbage and recycling. as its economy is struggling (but has some great tourism options), it would be great to have lunch or do a tour while in the area.

wolves are present in this area.

this site is closed... the town of Tahsis owns this and has all along... it was closed because some idiot drove his 4x4 into the Leiner River and flipped it over into a deep pool almost drowning himself and his girlfriend

Report Check-In

Pete's Farm has sold and is now gated - private property.

Sadly the gate was locked which made camping a no go but pete’s farm was a pretty sweet spot to check out given the delapidated farmhouse n nicely painted bench etc - enjoyed a nice spliff w Ben on the way back from our shroomy boardwalk
