Description

Lodge Campground . Established California recreation area that also has camping. Site #31. A little off the beaten path on the way to Pinnacles National Park. Check in at kiosk. In middle of the week only two other campers here. Quiet at night. Large and open. Great shade trees. Showers and wifi at this specific campground. Coyotes calling at night. Cows behind the fence. Lots of birds. A very fat and friendly cat also resides here. Park staff cleaning up and checking the area in the morning.

Latest Check-Ins

Exactly as advertised, even the cat came out to say hi :). Plenty of shadow at the lodge camping, showers are hot with good pressure and WiFi is very fast as well.

Report Check-In

Walnut Campground is reservable and has hot showers in the campground. During the week it's super quiet but the weekends fill up fast with atv and moto riders. No hookups at all but it's a safe, comfortable spot.

Report Check-In

As of this date, the entire Hollister Hills SVRA is closed due to road damage from flooding. They do not yet have an anticipated opening date. Before trying to camp here, check their FB page to see if they are open. Road crews told us all gates to access the park are closed and locked.

Report Check-In

We camped at the “Lodge” camping as opposed to the first available one because we wanted to be close to showers, and we were!— showers are hot! Wifi is good! There are cats!
