Loud vehicles all night and bright street lights. Parking reading said free parking 6p-7:30a

Report Check-In

Free parking during the evenings. Seemed safe. But, this also appears to be a popular teen cruising route. I stayed on a Thurs, and the cars with super loud exhausts and stereos continued until at least 2am. At one point, I thought they had parked right next to me with their windows down, but when I looked out, they were on the other side of the lot. I'm not sure ear plugs would be good enough.

Ok Folks, here are the facts. One can park nest to the bridge, free, from 6 PM -9:30AM. Look for the signs. Nearby areas are 6PM-6AM which means you have to pay or move at 6AM. Safe and quiet, next to Northshore main street. Security drives through without problems. Walk across the Walnut Street bridge at night. It is magical!

Lovely green park along the river with view of the bridge. Free parking on street at night until 9:30am. Well lit, felt safe, some road noise from bridge and light traffic along road. Bathrooms in park are closed until 7am. Best for stealth camping.

Don’t bother! I tried to stay here in June 2021, but left because of the parade of teens driving vehicles with loud exhausts for a couple hours. I tried again tonight and was rewarded with the same noises plus teens running around and screaming until after 2am. You’re much better off at the Signal Mountain Walmart.

Stayed 2 nights. Free camping from 6 pm to 9:30 AM. Can’t beat the location. Many police officers, bright street lights, and park security nearby, never had any issues. Saw one other camper. Some loud cars with bass music driving by into the late evening. Would only work for rigs that fit into a normal parking spot.

Earlier descriptions of this place are pretty accurate although I'm noticing quite a few fart cannons driving in the area. didn't expect that

Quiet and good location, a short walk over the bridge to downtown.

Great parking places. Stayed a couple nights, not back to back. Cops patrol here... same ones saw me a few times always waved... great secret spot.

We slept here for free from 9pm-7am. It was very quiet, saw another camper staying the night. Bathrooms were locked at night.
