Something not right?

Description

FS spots just east of Laramie (20 min). Wide open with rolling hills, though one of the three spots along this road is nestled into some trees. 712B ends pretty abruptly after maybe 1000ft, though it looks like it used to go further before washing out/downed trees closed it down. Space for a few rigs (big ok), with fire pits. Lots of sun and lots of wind. Quite a few cars came down while we were there, but overall it was quiet. Far enough off Happy Jack Rd to not hear any traffic. Road in was loose gravel and very washboarded but a short drive off pavement (1/2 mi). 4-5 bars Tmobile and Google Fi.

Latest Check-Ins

Gate closed & locked at several roads leading to spots right now :(

Report Check-In

Quiet spot that’s easy to get to near the happy jack trailhead with some fun hike/bike trails. we had enough Verizon service to stream. It was crazy windy while we were here, not sure if it’s always like that. We continued on down the dirt road towards Cheyenne this morning and saw dozens of other spots along the road, so not reason to fret if this one’s taken.

Report Check-In

Gates still closed for the season, but did spot some forest service personnel driving around, so presumably they will be opening soon. Was here last August, great place for dispersed camping when its open.

Report Check-In

Currently gate is closed, presumably for the season. Sign says no entry.
