Something not right?

Description

Very nice campsite, romantic situated in the Ueßbach valley. The land on which you can camp belongs to the old Strotzbüscher Mühle, nowadays been used for touristic purposes. You can camp anywhere you like on the large field, with quite superb spots alongside the Ueßbach stream.

Large (or long) vehicles may encouter some problems - or even might get stuck - when trying to reach the valley on the small, curvy road.

very nice campsite in a valley. curvy road down to the campsite with a moderately big parking lot. once that one is full there’s more parking at the start of the curvy road next to a bbq hut.
campsite is all grass, no dust/soil. pitch your tent anywhere you like within the perimeter. careful with electric kettle fences especially when children are with you. small shallow river running by with several spots for pitching your tent at the waterside.

it is allowed to do bbq, no open fires though, at least not when too hot as it is to risky regarding wildfires. there are barrels for disposing your bbq cremains.

furthermore: restrooms with potable water, a restaurant and plenty of garbage bins for disposal.

plenty of round trips for hiking around the area (volcanic lakes, mills, villages, forests).

the owner, hans, is a nice and relaxed guy who seemed very helpful.

payment next day on departure. we paid €20 for one night (2 people, one tent)

NICE SPOT!

As said before: extremely beautiful campground in the middle of a valley. Run by dutch, so the main language is dutch. The road is really curvy and your rig shouldn't be too big because of the turns.

Recommendation: call them before you go! They have only 17 places for campers and were full, when we arrived there without prior notice. we had to leave but will definitely come back!
