I would add exact location but unfortunately this site shows me in South America somewhere. I’m just outside of Berlin, NH north of Milan NH off Route 110 on York Pond Rd otherwise known as Fish Hatchery Rd. Free camping for 14 days in this National Forest, I traveled a good distance taking a left at the fork, only 3 sites prior to the hatchery, one which is just after the Y in the road and a Bus is parked there at the moment. Other two are tight for my 40’ bus but I could manage one of them before the gate that closes at set times. Love the site we found (site 7) as there is room for another group to camp with a fire pit directly behind us. Will post photos to show others. Come, stay, enjoy!
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
this place is now closed off, large rocks have been placed where i see there used to be a dirt road. not sure why, maybe to preserve that area? i forgot to take a picture, but it may be possible to hike in your stuff. i didn’t try to, Kilkenny loop is close by with plenty of spots to choose from
Report Check-InAs described. Took road 15 at fork. Multiple sites many with some cell. Ticks and black flies are relentless, mosquitoes take the evening shift.
Had cop with nasty dog and ranger stop by to let me know about fire pit dangers and 14 day camp limit.
This place is not closed. The user who said that is a local who is greedy about the public lands.
This is the northernmost section of the White Mountain National Forest. There are 2 spots on york pond rd and 12 spots on 14 mile loop/Kilkenny rd. All free for 14 days at a time.
Pack in pack out! There are no trash barrels in the national forest. Dont be trashy
