This is a grass-covered, old rustic parking lot designed for snowmobilers and horseback riders to park. I don't think it's used much, if at all. There is an old pit toilet at the edge of the "lot;" however, I didn't even open the door.
This is a great place to spend the night if the local campsites/recreational sites are full and you still want to fish. Spend the night here and then drive into the day-use area of your local favorite lake.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Tried to see if parking lot was plowed in snow to spend the night. It wasn’t. Just up the road about 1/2 km there are cross country ski trails and road is plowed a little wider but didn’t think it would be a good idea to camp on the road so moved on.
Report Check-Instayed for the night in an RV and didn't have any troubles. even a police officer showed up in the morning and didn't care that we camped here, she only wanted to warn us about the fire restrictions. we did not see the outhouse though so it may be by another pull out. lots of friendly cows around.
