Something not right?

Description

Dispersed camping spots on the left down the gravel road. Very nice river flowing next to it with two fire pits. Not much room for big rigs but very secluded and not a soul around.

Beautiful and quiet creekside camp on Court House Creek Road. There are several hikes on the road as well.

Report Check-In

This is a designated campsite marked by a sign on a post. It’s on the left before the Courthouse Falls trailhead. It’s the only campsite on this road, 1st come 1st served. It’s been unoccupied both times I came in colder weather during the week. The site is level with a fire ring and next to a river. No facilities of any kind. There’s enough room for several vehicles. The road is narrow but mostly smooth with gravel. Some low tree branches could be an issue if you’re in a tall van. RV’s not recommended. Forest road 475b is the next best option around here if you come and this site has already been claimed.

The road was gated and locked, maybe too early still? not sure. 4/28/22

the road was gated when i visited in late april.

Report Check-In

Came here and the gate was shut and locked. My guess is that this and other paths in the national forest are secured from October to some month in the spring. Keep this in mind when coming here.

I had to settle for the gravel pull out 5 miles north of here.

Report Check-In

Road closed as of September 5th. Seemed like it could’ve been a nice spot close to the river.

Amazing area! Turned off the main road onto a well maintained gravel track which follows a small river for miles up the mountain. Plenty of areas to pull off the track and stay the night. The first layover had a small rv trailer so we continued up and stopped by a bridge where there was a stone fire pit. Very few cars using the road. Slept amazingly with the sound of the River. No Verizon or T-Mobile service.
