Description

This is an Airbnb in Raton. The home is being renovated and uninhabitable, and the hostess welcomes primitive campers at the rate of $10/night (+fees, I paid $25 for two nights). There's a ~12' square covered gazebo with trellis walls for primitive camping, and plenty of driveway around the house to park an RV. There's an outdoor 15a outlet that was fine to hookup an RV, and no running water or tank dumping. To put it gently, the neighborhood is prime for gentrification. I parked behind the house, out of site and mind, and the neighborhood is quiet. Downtown Raton is about a half mile away.

Pretty much as described. You book through AirBNB, it was $12 after the tax and add ons. Host was quite nice, she accepted my stay pretty last minute and I biked in late about 9pm. She let me stay pretty late into the next day. There are outlets in the gazebo and hose water you can filter from. Its a cool spot. Dogs bark during the night.

This place is listed on Airbnb, for only $10 a night. It was really chilly when we were here but it was still a nice stopping ground. there is Wi-Fi but we had to be outside of our van in order to get to it. it's not super strong. there is electric in water if needed. there are a lot of dogs barking in the neighborhood but that didn't bother us. there were also some deer that came directly to our van door which was really cool. We would totally stay here again if driving through and needed an overnight.

A lovely spot to stay for a night or longer by booking through AirBnB. The hostess is so kind. A gazebo is available for campers. I had plenty of room for my 24 foot camper van. The driveway is gravel but not bad. Water is now available through an outside hose.

A lovely spot to stay for a night or longer by booking through AirBnB. The hostess is so kind. There is now a water hookup. Enough room for my 24 foot van in the parking spot. The gazebo is still available for camping.
