Very nice riverside place. Quiet and we think safe too. You take the small road right after the bridge, coming from the north, on your right hand side and drive through between the three small houses.
The whole canyon is just nice, this road and this drive through the northern Peru was one of the BEST. Make sure to drive this Tablachaca canyon. When you follow the road the following day up to the mountain village Pallasca, take a right and drive through the rest of this beautiful canyon!

Had a very peaceful, safe night here between the switch backs. Don’t drive on the bananas!
Report Check-InStill a great wildcamp. Right next to the river. Please watch out for the next banana trees that has been planted. 3 people came passed but was friendly. Keep it clean. it is also a great stop at 2000 m so not that cold.
Report Check-Ingreat to camp here. an old lady came and told us to watch out for the young bananaplants and new planted cactusses. no one there. did not go to the thermal pools a little further. Nice and quiet and the next day we follow this beautifull road.
Report Check-InBig road construction going on at the moment. Impossible to park in here. I added another spot
Report Check-InGood spot. The road into canyon has little traffic now. One big truck at 9 pm, a colectivo, locals, few pick-ups. No problem.
Report Check-InWe followed the road back about 1km and walked our bicycles down the river bank, well hidden from the road. Amazing camp spot, clean river and very quiet. There are some mini hot springs flowing into the river, just look for the orange looking rocks, pretty neat.
Report Check-InGreat campspot, very peaceful and quiet. When we were there, no workers arrived in the morning.
Report Check-Ingreat camp spot, workers arrive at 8am if you camp at the construction/mining site, but if you camp a little further down the road there is almost zero traffic at night or in the day

The hole canyon is just nice, this road and this drive through the northern Peru was one of the BEST. Make sure to drive this Tablachaca canyon. When you follow the road the following day up to the mountain village Pallasca, take a right and drive trough the rest of this beautiful canyon!
