Description

$20 per night for a campsite. There are around 90 campsites so getting booked wasn’t hard. You can check in at the front desk or reserve online on the Recreation.gov app. Clean campsites with several shower houses. There is a nice fire pit, a grill, a d a picnic table. Also trees for hammocks. The people at the front desk had a little trouble finding our reservation but they were very nice and eventually found it. The campsites are clearly labeled and not too hard to find.

Ended up here after being turned away at a couple others that were filled up on a weeknight. we had no trouble finding a spot. We arrived way after hours so we booked a site and paid online, we left early the next morning so I have no experience of the staff, but the online process was simple. The sites are tucked into the woods on both sides of the road all along the lake. Sites on the left (inside of the loop, away from lake) are up a short but pretty steep hill. Sites on the right are just off the road. Good space between campsites, a good bit of woods between as well and all are walking distance to the water. It’s a pretty stretched out campground so we didn’t drive around, thankfully we had local firewood from the previous campground because I didn’t see anywhere to buy it here, but there were LOTS of blow down branches and brush piles you could grab from if you needed to. Every site looked mostly level, had electric, water, a fire pit with a cooking grate, picnic table, a standing-height charcoal grill and a standing height prep table next to it! Also has a boat ramp so this would be a good place to set up for a weekend on the lake, or just crash for the night. I think we paid $30
