Description

This is a free place to camp with a 14 day limit that is a sloped gravel area next to the lake. There was no one here and according to the book Free and Low Cost Camping the site is free to use. Limited Verizon signal. Access is by a gravel road (about 2.2. miles) that was a bit soft due to all the recent rain but did not required 4x4. A larger rig might have trouble turning around here...
We were also visited a few times by locals who were surprised to see us there but there wasn’t any issues.

Great spot. Was very humid in summer. No one showed up had the place to myself. Lake is a bit dirty and smelly so I parked up from it. A lot of trash unfortunately. Other than those it was a good spot.

Report Check-In

We did find this spot but after we set up around midnight so local showed up. They were partying on the boat ramp…. Drinking and shooting guns!! So at almost 1am we decided to leave. The car with the drinkers and guns followed us back out the 3 mile road making us very nervous. We will not be going back to this spot.

There is a spot up the hill to the right with a fire ring and more private. This is a local spot and you will definitely be visited by several fishermen early in the morning. Good for a night though.
