Something not right?

Description

Quiet camping ground with about 100 stands all separated by vegetation. Our spot was 8m x 12m and enough space for our tent car and relaxation area. There are larger sites available. Sites have electricity, but some require an extension lead to reach plug points. Ample shade and place is secure. Ablutions are good with hot and cold water. Laundry can be done with coin operated machines. There is a restaurant and bar if one doesn't want to cook. We shared the place with about 10 other campers so place was quite empty.
I could not do a star rating but would give it a 3.5 to 4 stars.

Price - R300 per campsite, and R150 per person
How to Book - use website
Check in process - stop at reception
Unique things - restaurant in campsite, ferry to beach across lagoon
Ablutions - good shower pressure, always clean, hot water
Better sites - site 104/105 has view of lagoon, all sites are not secluded
Access - very easy, 10/10, secure guard at gate
Internet - spotty for all providers
Other notes - Saturday is party time, music most of the night, beach is a close 10 minute walk and there's a lovely forest walk about 30 minutes to the start of the trail

Report Check-In

Definitivly not ours... The place is in a tropical forest, so there is shadow anywhere, but the trees don't let go any breeze through. When we visited the place, it was very full, very noisy with music up to midnight, cars driving/leaving until 2 o'clock in the morning without respecting that there are campers sleeping. The ground on the stands is simple soil, after rain one can imagine how it looks like, and we had rain. Ablutions are o.k., but the whole place shows signs of neglect and no interest of maintenance. After one nearly sleepless night we left.

Report Check-In

A fairly large campsite with big trees and established infrastructure. Placed right next to the lagoon and a short walk to the beach. The transfer ferry can also take you to the Beach but it was not functioning.
The stands are clearly demarcated with their own braai and electricity.
There are signs of neglect and low upkeep which is unfortunate
Great for kids
Not ideal for couples wanting something quieter

Report Check-In

Large campsite close to the river with a ferry that will take you to the beach. Restaurant and beach bar on site. Very busy in season but peaceful otherwise in a tropical atmosphere. Bathrooms well maintained. Low season rates for pensioners R165 pp otherwise R300 for the stand plus R95 pp.
